Abstract
Increased throughput, reduced latency, and improved service quality even in rural regions, all at optimal prices, are promises of the 5G network revolutionized by the deployment of Network Coding (NC) in mobile small cells. Nevertheless, the network becomes susceptible to pollution attacks due to the encoding scheme used at intermediary nodes. Confusion and reduced service quality are the outcomes of these assaults, which cause destination nodes to incorrectly decode packets. The difficult problem of identifying and countering pollution assaults in mobile small cells allowed by network coding is discussed in this research. The recommended course of action is to keep monitoring on all network traffic in order to detect any nodes behaving maliciously. While posing as legitimate nodes, malicious nodes deliberately send packets that are tainted. A more sophisticated approach than more conventional methods is proposed, which may instantly remove a node when harmful activity is detected. A single node’s actions do not constitute sufficient grounds for its exclusion from the network. Instead, it takes into account the reports and influences from several nearby nodes, including any possible hotspots, in order to make a well-informed decision. The node ...
