Abstract
The Selection of a communal network in Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) plays a crucial part in optimizing the choice of available networks for device-toedge communication. Applications may process data with low latency and great performance thanks to MEC, a technology that moves computational services and resources closer to the edge computing of the network. To maximize the benefits of MEC, it is imperative to choose the most suitable network for communication between devices and MEC servers, preventing edge server over loading. To address this issue, the paper’s author introduces the concept of Network Selection and Service Placement using a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm across multiple access edge servers. In this proposed algorithm, each edge server, service, and user request collectively forms a particle. The PSO algorithm evaluates each resource to find an optimal solution, referred to as optimal edge server selection. The evaluation considers physical distance between users’ mobile devices and edge servers, as well as the available load on each edge server. The edge server with the least distance ...
