Abstract
Biometric use in automobiles has received much attention wherein biometric implementation is used for boosting security of the vehicles since it makes the authentication process easy. However, the use of biometrics may be susceptible to some systems being attacked, hacked, or spoofed, as is the case with a number of methods. In order to overcome this, the method of cryptographic key has become relevant to provide a solution in relation to boosting the security offered by automotive biometric systems. By discussing the cars and other vehicles and how they contain cryptographic keys in their biometric systems, this paper seeks to understand the advantages, risks, and optimal approaches to the implementation of such security mechanisms. ...
