Abstract
It is commonly acknowledged that one of the best methods for guaranteeing data security and privacy is encryption. By using encryption techniques, data is encrypted such that its original content is hidden and can only be retrieved by using a unique key during the decryption process. This work presents the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), a symmetric key-based technique that is both efficient and dependable when it comes to encrypting and decrypting textual data. In order to provide a high level of security, the approach combines substitution, permutation, XOR operations, and key mixing with a fixed length code for data encryption and decryption. Because of its versatility, efficiency, and broad use, this encryption method has become the industry standard for a large number of applications. ...
