Abstract
Protecting the privacy of the digital images is a crucial concern in our modern digital era. The goal is to improve the image security and privacy by using reversible data hiding techniques, allowing the embedding of the messages within different images while securing the image’s confidentiality. This approach involves three main participants: the provider, the hider, and finally receiver. In the digital era, sharing and distribution of images have become routine, leading to concerns about potential leaks of sensitive information embedded in these images. To tackle this issue, a unique approach is utilized, known as image blockwise encryption, which augments the capacity for embedding data within encrypted images. The process starts with compressing of the digital image using the JPEG lossy compression method. Subsequently, the entire image is encrypted by using a combination of stream ciphers or block ciphers along with advanced techniques. This process ensures a high level of security. Importantly, this approach not only provides robust security but also offers a substantial capacity for reversible data hiding while preserving the quality of image.
