Abstract

Climate change represents a significant threat to the wellbeing of people and societies. As the science of human behavior, psychology has much to contribute to both understanding and addressing that threat. This chapter gives an overview of the current and potential impacts of climate change on society, and outlines areas in which psychological research is relevant.
