So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

INTRODUCTION
Arts-based research is gaining increasing attention from qualitative scholars. Many researchers see the spectrum of arts-based approaches as offering spaces to both interrupt and create space for discussions about dominant discourses in research and practice across a variety of disciplines. In this chapter, we begin by presenting the origins of these approaches and later explain that there are broadly three different types of arts-based research. We recognize that there are overlaps between the three types but we consider them separately to highlight key differences between them.
