この章では、Raspberry Piの汎用入出力（GPIO）コネクターから電子回路を制御するコツをつかんでもらおう。
ほとんどのレシピでは、ハンダ付け不要のブレッドボードと、オス─メスやオス─オスのジャンパー線を使う必要がある［レシピ10.9を参照］。古い26ピンのRaspberry Piのモデルとの互換性を保つため、ここで紹介するブレッドボードの製作例はすべて、両方のGPIOレイアウトに共通する26本のピンのみを使っている［レシピ10.1を参照］。

レシピ11.1：LEDを接続する
●課題 LEDをRaspberry Piに接続する方法が知りたい。
●解決 GPIOピンに、電流を制限するため470Ωまたは1kΩの直列抵抗を介してLEDを接続する。このレシピの製作には、以下のものが必要だ。
- ブレッドボードとジャンパー線（付録Aの「プロトタイピング用の器材とキット」を参照）
- 470Ωの抵抗（付録Aの「抵抗とコンデンサー」を参照）
- LED（付録Aの「光エレクトロニクス」を参照）
図11-1に、ブレッドボードとオス─メスのジャンパー線を使ったLEDの実体配線図を示す。LEDにはプラスとマイナスの極性がある。プラスは長いほうの足なので、こちらを抵抗と同じ列に差し込むこと。
