So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting ready
Just like the first recipe in this chapter, Including legacy C code, this recipe has the following prerequisites:
- gcc (https://gcc.gnu.org/) (includes ar and cc)
- git (https://git-scm.com/) (command-line or UI tools are fine)
- llvm (https://releases.llvm.org/2.7/docs/UsingLibraries.html) (library and header files for the LLVM compiler project)
- libclang (https://clang.llvm.org/doxygen/group__CINDEX.html) (library and header files for the CLang compiler)
The tools are available in any Linux/Unix environment (on Windows, you can use the WSL (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-win10)) and might require additional installs. Check your distribution's package repositories for the packages in the list.
