Outside of specialized schools such as Cobalt Studios or programs with a dedication to theatrical design such as the University of North Carolina School of the Arts or Cal Arts, most university programs are fortunate to have even one class in the curriculum that is focused on scenic art skills, let alone two or three. It would be impossible to move a student through all the evolutions of skill development presented in this chapter in a single semester.
