As demonstrated earlier, there are multiple ways to fingerprint applications at many different levels of the technology stack. The first question you should really ask yourself is, "Do I need to prevent fingerprinting?" In general, trying to prevent fingerprinting is a form of obfuscation. Obfuscation is a bit controversial, but I think everyone does agree that obfuscation is not security in the same way that encoding is not encryption. It may slow down, limit information, or confuse an attacker temporarily, but it does not truly prevent any vulnerability from being exploited.
