In this chapter, you learned the basics of working with the CLI. You created a file by redirecting output, you created a directory, and you installed a program with the package manager. You learned a few shortcuts, and you should now feel a little more comfortable with the CLI. But you’re just getting started. You’ll revisit many of these topics in more detail throughout the rest of the book.
Next, you’ll set up a test environment so you can explore the CLI without worrying about accidentally deleting files or messing up your computer.
