What You Learned

You should be much more comfortable navigating around your filesystem on the command line. After working through this chapter, you know how to change directories, and you now know several shortcuts to move around more quickly. You can also find files and directories by name. Keep practicing these commands and they’ll become second nature to you. You’ll be able to zip around your entire filesystem much faster than you ever could with your graphical file manager.

In the next chapter, you’ll create your own files and directory structures, and you’ll perform more advanced operations to manipulate your filesystem.
