So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

• Address the right decision problem.
• Clarify your real objectives.
• Develop a range of creative alternatives.
• Understand the consequences of your decision.
• Make appropriate tradeoffs among conflicting objectives.
• Deal sensibly with uncertainties.
• Take account of your risk-taking attitude.
• Plan ahead for decisions linked over time.
