9.1 Introduction
A Software Project Management Plan (SPMP) is a comprehensive document. It captures the entire project dynamics in one place. This is an overarching document which is used right from the initiation to planning, monitoring and controlling upto the closure of a project. So, it is evident that it is a live document. It is elaborated and updated throughout the project life cycle. All the stakeholders of the project get visibility about what, how and when of the project from the SPMP.
