So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Once upon a time, a meeting planner phoned a professional speaker to enquire into booking him for an upcoming event. The planner’s first question was, “How much do you charge?” The speaker replied, “It depends on the length of the talk that you want me to give and the amount of time that it takes for preparation.”
The meeting planner then asked, “How much would you charge for a 30-minute talk, and how long would it take to prepare?” The speaker replied, “For a 30-minute talk it would require six to eight hours to prepare, and the fee would be $5,000.”
