It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Signing up for an OAuth 2 application
In order to get the full value out of the exercise in this section (and be able to test login), you will need to create an application with a service provider. Currently, Spring Social supports Twitter, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, and GitHub, and the list is growing.
To get the full value out of the exercises in this chapter, we recommend you have accounts with at least Twitter and GitHub. We have set up accounts for the jbcpcalendar application, which we will be using for the remainder of this chapter.
