Your First Job as Stage Manager

There is no minimum amount of schooling that qualifies an individual to become a professional stage manager. Outside of educational theatre situations, no one who hires stage managers will ask to see your college diploma, your high school diploma, or any other kind of certificate. Producers might ask to see your résumé and will probably ask you about your past experience.
