This chapter will build on the concepts explored in the previous chapter on knowledge management. Organisations are becoming increasingly dependent on information and knowledge; therefore there is a desire to understand more about collective learning (Sadler-Smith, 2022). This creates a need to understand more about how individual learning can be aggregated into a collective whole. Therefore, this chapter will explore two linked but distinct concepts, that of organisational learning, and the ‘learning organisation’ as advocated for by individuals such as Peter Senge (1990).
