Introduction

In recent years, academic institutions worldwide have been confronted with unprecedented challenges. Survival issues have become the centerpiece of discussions in faculty meetings and boardrooms. In what have been previously depicted as “ivory towers,” down-to-earth questions have emerged: How can we be profitable? How can we grow enrollment? How can we better raise funds?
