the behavior of glowworms, is a swarm intelligence algorithm introduced by
Kaipa and Ghose in 2005 [1]; it subsequently underwent several experiments,
modifications and changes by the authors and other researchers to evolve into
a stable algorithm that not only served the purpose of computing multiple
optima of a multimodal function, but was also designed in a way that would
make it suitable for implementation in a swarm of mobile robots. This evo-
