So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Conclusions
Even though the situation in this company has been exaggerated for didactic purposes, there are still companies struggling with these problems. Indeed, Alice knew that the way software developers at Awesome Gambling Corp work is not ideal. There are many techniques, some of them covered in this book, that could help the company stop focusing on unconscious mistakes and start focusing on other things that can add more value to their final product.
