Generosity is a very important way to improve relationships with a company’s external and internal stakeholders. Some examples used in this chapter relate to specific stakeholders, but nonetheless, this powerful tool can be applicable to any stakeholder. The word “generosity” comes from the term “genere,” which has its origins in an old Latin term that means “beget,” “bring about,” or “produce.” Generosity is a valuable by-product of adopting a loving attitude toward others.
