Abstract
Recent developments in the music industry such as the emergence of download culture and the subsequent shift away from physical music sales have seen greater industry demand placed on live performance. In addition to this has been the development of video-sharing websites such as YouTube, which both enables user-generated video distribution and provides a platform for label- and artist-sanctioned content. The implications for live music content on these websites are myriad.
