Why “Dynamic Progress Method?”

Introduction

Along the way through this Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) research, the authors have been asked several times about the name Dynamic Progress Method (DPM) and its official definition. The motivation for the name comes from the definitions of the first two words, according to Merriam-Webster (http://www.merriam-webster.com):

  • Dynamic—always active or changing
  • Progress—movement forward or toward a place
