33. LOW-LIGHT PORTRAITS
THIS SECTION IS ABOUT creating a portrait in low light by using the existing light or by adding some light of your own. This could mean using natural light that is coming in through a big window, a slower shutter speed, a wide-open aperture, a high ISO, or any combination of these to get a proper exposure. For Figure 33.1, I used a slow shutter speed and a wide aperture to take advantage of the existing dawn light. The most difficult part of the shoot was getting the riders to stand still.
