It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

ACHIEVING MAXIMUM DEPTH of field for a scene is popular among landscape photographers as well as those shooting travel and architectural photography. This technique is quite effective when there is a large, detailed scene that you want the viewer to experience as if they were seeing it with their own eyes. When everything is in focus, the eye is left to wander throughout the large, interesting scene.
