Felix was certainly enjoying these exchanges with Sophia. Yes, she constantly challenged him. But in addition to the conversation helping him forget about his claustrophobia, he was also learning some very interesting things about leadership, things he'd never considered previously. He smiled, realizing he was probably learning more in that elevator than from listening to what the famous guy on the fifth floor was talking about.
“Why are you smiling?”
“Just about how much I'm enjoying this. Who needs the guy upstairs, anyway? Your advice is wonderful. I should have met you earlier. Maybe my situation would look differently than it does currently.”
“That is nice of you.” She smiled. “It is great to hear that I am helpful. My coach gave me a lot of knowledge, and I am always happy to pass on what I have learned from him. But I doubt I know more than this guy talking upstairs, whoever he is.”
Sophia turned to the back wall of the elevator and drew another rectangle. Pointing her forefinger to the Inspiring Vision circle drawn above The Leadership House, she said, “Remind me. What was your vision again?”
“To build a business with a hundred million in revenue, one that helps small‐ and medium‐sized businesses become more digital and succeed.”
