It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The baseline is the invisible line on which type sits (see page 186).
Body copy, body text, or sometimes just plain body or text refers to the main block of text that you read, as opposed to headlines, subheads, titles, etc. Body text is usually set between 9- and 12-point type with 20 percent added space between the lines.
