I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Translating Colors in Silver Efex Pro
Nik Software Silver Efex Pro is my favorite way to translate color into black and white. It is very effective and offers some excellent controls not seen anywhere else. Most of the images in this e-book, regardless if they were in color or black and white to start, had some processing done on them with Silver Efex Pro. This program is a plug-in that works with Adobe products of Lightroom, Photoshop and Photoshop Elements as well as Apple Aperture. You must have at least one of those.
In all programs, you select a color image, then tell the program to send it to Silver Efex Pro. In Lightroom, right-click an image to get a contextual menu and go to Edit in; in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, you will find ...
