Here you are, just a few more chapters to go before the end of the book. By now you’ve spent some time playing with your renderer, experimenting with shapes, patterns, and composition, and you’ve probably figured out that building a scene with the primitives at your disposal involves a lot of fiddling with transformations. Add a shape, scale it, translate it, rotate it just so, and then repeat for every other shape you need in your scene.
