I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
RULE TO BREAK
“If you’re going to do something, do it properly”
Like many of these Rules to Break, there are times when the Rule applies. The danger is in following it blindly. Yes it’s true that there comes a point in any project or challenge when you have to either get out or just go for it. But don’t imagine that that point necessarily comes near the beginning.
Of course there are some things that you have to go for. If you decide to have children, for example, you really have to commit yourself before you actually begin. But there are many times in life when it just isn’t necessary to do that. Often you can dip a toe in, and then another, and really take your time before you jump.
