So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
PREFACE
Why would we dedicate the entire book to technology procurement? Not only because it is exciting, challenging and futuristic. Leading industry experts believe that by 2021, indirect spend will be managed by technology procurement leaders in 60 per cent of large enterprises (Pettey, 2018). The reason for this is the continuing increase in technology spending by non-IT business units due to the accelerating digital transformation of many industries. From this perspective, our book effectively becomes the guide for indirect procurement leaders of the future.
