TRUTH 16 Avoid questions about religious affiliations

It’s been said that you shouldn’t discuss religion or politics at a dinner party. While job interviews are certainly no picnic, the same rules apply. Only this time, when the topic is religion, it’s a matter of the law.

Federal law dictates that we may not let information about a candidate’s faith impact our hiring decision. Therefore, it’s up to you to conduct the interviews in such a way that you can’t be held liable for discrimination. Most people know better than to ask questions like these.
