A.1 Introduction

A typical design of a power transformer is discussed in this appendix. It is intended to help students at the undergraduate level to understand broad aspects of the design procedure. For fresh engineers joining a transformer industry, it is expected to provide much needed initial concepts and a flavor of the intricacies of the design.
