Roles

To assign a variable to a role, select the variable name and click the appropriate button. The roles a vari-

able can take are:

Y, which identifies one or more response variables (the dependent variables)

•

Weight, an optional role that identifies a column whose values signify the importance of each row in

the model

•

Freq, an optional role that identifies a column whose values designate the frequency of rows in the

analysis

Effects are added to the model by using the buttons in the Construct Model Effects section of the
