It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Signing Assemblies
To mark your assemblies as trusted, you need to add a digital signature known as a strong name. This becomes mandatory if you want to install an assembly to the GAC. Chapter 53 also provides a thorough discussion on signing assemblies with a strong name.
