So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
mod_cgi
The mod_cgi module provides for execution of CGI scripts,
including the handling of environment variables and logging. When a
CGI script is started, this module creates an environment
variable called DOCUMENT_ROOT that mimics the DocumentRoot
directive. It also sets the REMOTE_HOST, REMOTE_IDENT, and
REMOTE_USER environment variables if appropriate.
