This chapter discusses installation of Terminal Services on a Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 server. The post-installation configuration and tuning for a Terminal Server is discussed in Chapter 11, “Terminal Services Configuration and Tuning.” Before getting into the step-by-step details on the actual installation process, I review some of the pre-installation planning and preparation you should perform. In the last section of this chapter, “Automating the Terminal Services Installation,” I discuss use of the unattended installation support in Windows to more quickly and consistently build a base Terminal Server.
