As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. But what do those thousand words express? They might convey a clear story or perhaps just mumbo jumbo—a visual mishmash that doesn’t fit the story. The picture could be incomprehensible. Or it could have a complicated meaning that, without a few words of text, takes too long to grasp. Although the visual might be worth a thousand words, the message you want to communicate might only be worth ten words.
