I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
2 Boarding: The operational view
The operational view (or operational layer) is the foundation layer in any organization, and for the purposes of this publication will represent the product and technology teams – better known as the ‘IT folk’.* This is where product-driven technology decisions are made and implemented. The operational view of product and technology is the engine room in any business, whatever type of industry it supports. When something goes wrong with any aspect of the technology in your organization, this is where you will hear ‘That’s IT’s fault.’ IT represents everything technologically related, and as such is the bedrock when we discuss the operational view.
