4 Cruising: The strategic view

The strategic view or strategic layer represents the executive layer in an organization. It includes the C-suite executives, whose primary role is that of strategic decision-making. In a standard pyramid structure, this is the part at the top.

The executives in this layer will vary depending on the size and type of organization. They will take the information provided by the tactical layer and use it to make informed decisions about the strategic direction of the organization. We will now look at the strategic state for all organizational types from the view of a startup, scaleup, SMB and enterprise.
