When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
A brief aside about pose detection
We are using the term pose detection here, but this is also known as pose estimation. If you have not come across pose estimation, this simply refers to a computer vision operation where human figures are detected, either from an image or from a video. Once the figure(s) have been detected, the model is able to determine roughly where the key joints and body segments (such as the left ear) are.
The growth of pose detection has been rapid, and it has some obvious usages. For instance, we could use pose detection to perform motion capture for animation; studios are increasingly turning to motion capture to capture live-action performances and convert them into 3D images.
