CHAPTER 13Is Carmelo Anthony a Hall of Famer?

The fantastic website Basketball-reference.com has a Hall of Fame Prediction tool (see www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/hof_prob.html). The site gives Carmelo Anthony a 98% chance of making the Hall of Fame and Manu Ginóbili a mere 20% chance of making the Hall of Fame.

Entering the 2019–2020 season, Carmelo (Melo) Anthony had scored 25,551 points, ranking 19th on the all-time player list. LeBron James was the only active player ranking ahead of Melo. Melo did win three Olympic Gold Medals and an NCAA title, but I don't think his pro career merits election to the Springfield, Massachusetts Hall of Fame. Manu's Spurs took four NBA titles. Manu also had a great international career, playing two years in Europe and leading Argentina to a second-place ...
