Animation from Pencils to Pixels

Before venturing further into the mysteries of animated filmmaking, it would be valuable to spend some time to define the basics of all filmmaking. Although the situation is getting better, animation for so long now has suffered from its lack of knowledge (or respect) for traditional film techniques. These are techniques that, over the decades, have made the audience’s experience better and more meaningful. These rules are not predictable formulas that limit the scope of the filmmaker, like mainstream animated storytelling.
