I freely admit that my experience in 3D is limited, specifically to just the 3D material in “Endangered Species.” I have always been extremely critical of authors who write how to books without any personal knowledge or practical experience of the things they are writing about. However, in creating “Endangered Species,” I had to jump into the deep end of the 3D swimming pool. I was very surprised when some of my 3D-oriented faculty colleagues said they were impressed with what I had created, especially in view of the very limited tutelage they had given me with the software.
