So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

choose URL — URL selection dialog
Description
Puts up a standard Choose URL dialog (with a Connect button); this is the same as the Finder’s Connect to Server dialog, useful for specifying servers on the local network, with an option to let the user choose various categories of server. The user can also just type a URL unless you prevent it; this can be basically any string at all. Does not actually connect! Returns a string. If the user cancels, an error is thrown (-128: “User canceled.”)
