Description
Reports the position of a substring within a
target string. Character positions are 1-based. Returns
0 if the substring isn’t found.
Example
offset of "bb" in "Ribbit" -- 3The offset command’s behavior
used to be to consider case and ignore diacriticals, which is
backwards from AppleScript’s own defaults. In the
current version, this is fixed, and string considerations are obeyed.
