I have a confession to make.
When the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) asked me to write this book, I thought, “Sure, no problem!” But when the time came to sit down and write it, I had a mental block. I procrastinated until my publisher gave me a deadline. I knew I couldn’t put it off any longer, so I started really researching and thinking about what needed to go in the book. And I started to really enjoy the topic. I wondered why it had taken me so long to start writing. And I realized: It’s in the name.
