In my teen years I was given the task of repairing a piece of our workshop’s roof that had been damaged by a storm. I was excited about the opportunity, because I am probably the least handy person you can find. If you had to pick a team to build a table or assemble a bookshelf, I’d be the last one chosen (if anyone picked me at all). Yet here I had the opportunity to fix something and prove my worth. To be honest, I was incredibly excited. I would finally undo the years of being “unhandy” and show off my dormant skills.
